Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Monday's action at Lingfield and yesterday's Placepot results from Sandown.

Leg 1 Selections: Waterloo Sunset, Charlie’s Choice
WATERLOO SUNSET has course winning form and ran well back here when second over course-and-distance off only a pound lower mark two starts back. He should go well from a nice-low draw, while CHARLIE’S CHOICE makes his handicap debut off a nice mark and ran well on debut here when third behind a subsequent winner. He could step forward to make an impact.

Leg 2 Selections: Betweenthesticks, Recon Mission
BETWEENTHESTICKS has placed four times this year on the turf off either this mark or higher and is down in grade after his sixth at Chepstow. He won his last start on the all-weather and should go close. RECON MISSION has plenty of speed and is a pound lower than when last successful. He was a good second on his last visit here and could win this with a repeat performance.

Leg 3 Selections: Topo Chico, Katar
TOPO CHICO won with plenty in hand at Windsor last week and that form is useful given the second was on a five-timer going into that race. She will be hard to beat if she can replicate that form in this, though KATAR has run well several times to suggest he will be winning soon and is a pound lower than when third at Bath a few weeks back. He can get involved.

Leg 4 Selections: Havanagreattime
The Richard Hughes-trained HAVANAGREATTIME is the one I really like in the fifth race. He ran really well when third on debut at Windsor and improved on that form with a fine fourth at Goodwood next time. He would have been a lot closer too without hanging right under pressure, as well as not getting the clearest of runs. The form has worked out well with the second winning since and he should go close with William Buick booked.

Leg 5 Selections: Belo Horizonte
BELO HORIZONTE is down in trip but unlike the remainder, he is the only one of these in winning form at the moment. He won very easily at Yarmouth just five days ago and with the remainder hard to recommend, surely he goes close to doubling up this week. That latest success is better than what any of these have achieved recently. Good chance.

Leg 6 Selections: Sparked, Fair And Square
SPARKED is four pounds lower than when scoring here in September and was beaten just a neck when last seen at Windsor. From an unchanged mark, he is one of the more likely winners. FAIR AND SQUARE is closely matched with the former and it really is a surprise he is still a maiden after 40 starts given he has run well many times off higher marks. Rossa Ryan could help him get that elusive first win.
How does a Placepot work?
The more people who play the Placepot at a given meeting, the larger the pool will be. If less people find the winning combination across the six races, the bigger the winning dividend will be.
When placing your Tote Placepot bet, you can choose whether to make one or more selections in each race, which are referred to as lines.
Adding multiple lines in a race increases your chances of picking a horse that places. However, your total stake is determined ‘per line’, so the more lines you place the higher the stake will be.
To work out how much you have won, multiply your stake per line by the amount of winning lines you have. Your winnings will then be either that percentage of the published £1-stake winnings or a multiple of the published dividend.
