Andy Holding has two tips for today's action, with runners at Worcester and Leicester.
14:25 Worcester
GLAJOU (best price 3/1) has found getting his head in front difficult in recent times, but in all fairness, he has been set some stiff tasks and with today’s assignment seen as a little light relief for Neil Mulholland’s inmate, he can gain his just rewards for his consistency.
No match for the improving Line Of Descent at Stratford three starts ago, the seven-year-old then had the misfortune to come up against a rejuvenated Dan’s Chosen (won again since) at Newton Abbot next time and although he did manage to turn around the form with the same rival on his return to the west country venue on his latest encounter, he couldn’t come to grips with the likes of Investment Manager and Bagheera Ginge.
However, based on the numbers that day, he still comes out well on the figures even allowing for the fact he got beaten 20 lengths, and having gone well at today’s track in the past, there is no obvious reason why he wouldn’t do so again.

MAD PUNTER (best price 4/1) has yet to set the world on fire in three starts, but there has been enough encouragement to suggest he might be a different proposition in nurseries and off an opening mark of 64, Brian Meehan’s inmate rates a strong choice to back up that view.
As is often the case with his handler, the son of Expert Eye began his career at his local course, Newbury, and despite having been asked to make headway on the slowest part of the track (nearside rail), he shaped better than the bare result suggested. Looking back at the form of that race in June, the winner, Iberian, is now rated 101 having narrowly failed to land a Group 2 at Goodwood next time and stable companion, Inishfallen, has also gone on to run creditably at pattern level, so it was a real baptism of fire.
Since then, he has undertaken the statutory two runs to get a mark and with the latest of them at Chelmsford serving purpose of not receiving a shot across the bows (tenderly handled), it would come as something of surprise if he didn’t feature prominently against what to all intents and purposes is a weak contest.
