Architect Tips shares Tote Placepot tips for Sunday's action at Epsom and yesterday's Placepot results from Newmarket.
14:15 Epsom
Leg 1 Selections: Pink Satin, Mercian Warrior
MERCIAN WARRIOR showed much-improved form when building on his earlier form to finish second at the Curragh and appears the one to beat with plenty more to come. PINK SATIN returned a beaten favourite at Goodwood last time when only fourth having been well supported but is better than that and a repeat of her second at Windsor two starts back would give her place claims at least.
14:50 Epsom
Leg 2 Selections: Golden West, True Wisdom, Victorious Street, Sayedaty Sadaty
All of the quartet have a squeak. GOLDEN WEST made the perfect start to his career when scoring at Newcastle by over two lengths and could be capable of defying his penalty. TRUE WISDOM might get a soft lead and has a chance with a repeat of her Newcastle success, while VICTORIOUS STREET caught the eye on debut at Haydock when fourth and should progress. SAYEDATY SADATY won well at Kempton last time and can also be included.
15:25 Epsom
Leg 3 Selections: Forceful Speed, Glenister
A few of these are progressive. FORCEFUL SPEED has won his last couple of starts and could complete the hat-trick if his stamina can last out over this longer distance. GLENISTER, however, is having a great season, with four wins and two seconds from six starts and wouldn’t need to improve much more on his latest second at Wolverhampton to have a say in the outcome.
16:00 Epsom
Leg 4 Selections: Naxos, Burglar
A decent race this is and one that can hopefully see NAXOS continue his improvement. He has only finished outside the top two once and that came at Royal Ascot on his turf debut. Since then, he has filled the second spot twice and could be hard to beat granted normal improvement. He is a likeable sort. BURGLAR ran well off this mark last time when second at Newmarket and is down in class, so he’s another to consider. Soto Sizzler is dangerous to rule out back at his beloved venue.
16:35 Epsom
Leg 5 Selections: Strong Impact
STRONG IMPACT has been rock-solid in defeat since her debut on the all-weather in which she has finished runner-up in all three starts on the turf including on her return from a three months break at Sandown last time when again second. She sets a clear standard on her form to date and should be capable of winning this unless one of the newcomers turn out to be above average.
17:10 Epsom
Leg 6 Selections: Freedom Day, Overnight Oats
FREEDOM DAY gets a speculative inclusion in the sixth race, who won on his return at Redcar in April and hasn’t been disgraced in each start since. He is down in grade from his run at Doncaster and could figure. OVERNIGHT OATS was only beaten half-a-length over C&D last time and can also be considered alongside the consistent Fly Zone who sports first-time blinkers which could be a catalyst for improvement.
