Steve Ryder is back with three tips for Tuesday's horse racing action.

Navello is respected with the benefit of a recent victory but preference instead goes to DREAM COMPOSER (best priced at 4/1) who bids for back-to-back victories in this race. The James Evans trained six-year-old won this race last season off a mark of 91 and runs in it this year off a 1lb lower mark. Last season he had previously finished 7th beaten six lengths at Doncaster on the opening day of the flat season but he ran much better this year finishing 5th beaten only 4 ½ lengths in the same race.
That reappearance run will put Dream Composer spot on for this and he should be able to use his race fitness advantage over main market rivals The Big Board, Spring Bloom and Tees Spirit.

The Des McDonogh trained VERBAL SPARRING (best priced at 15/2) was an eyecatching sixth here last time when a selection in this column and he should run well once again off 1lb lower. The five-year-old finished 2nd off a mark of 92 on heavy ground in February before falling at the last when staying on well off a mark of 94 in March.
J J Slevin took over on board last time from 7lb claimer Patrick O’Brien but Verbal Sparring jumped poorly and it meant he was left with too much to do late on. He stayed on well to finish 6th but if he jumps better then he should have strong claims of reversing form with Red Striker who finished 3rd.

BOILING POINT (best priced at 10/11) has been well backed for this conditions race since the market opened but he does still look value at his current odds. The Roger Varian trained three-year-old has the most experience of the six runners in this race but also sets the standard with an official rating of 107. The son of Too Darn Hot placed on his first two starts at Newbury before getting off the mark at Thirsk by five lengths in September.
Later that month Boiling Point finished a short head 2nd behind Alyannaabi in the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes over this course and distance and that rival is now fifth favourite at 14/1 for the 2000 Guineas. He raced keenly that day which is a slight concern on his reappearance but he should prove hard to beat with James Doyle retaining the partnership.
