IF YOU LET ME (best price 7-2) just found one too good in the shape of Le Coq Hardi here last time over hurdles but with seemingly nothing of that sort of quality against Gavin Cromwell’s inmate on his return visit, he can make his mark on his first attempt over fences.

Held up in last here 29 days ago, he made smooth headway to join the well backed favourite turning for home but despite keeping on well enough all the way to the line, he couldn’t cope with the winner, who was easily the stronger of the pair off the bridle.

That said, he did pull well clear of some useful sorts in behind and with the winner going on to finish an honourable second in a listed contest at Galway last week, the form doesn’t appear too shabby in the context of what he faces here this evening.

A former point winner with the pace to win over the minimum trip three starts ago at Kilbeggan, the smooth travelling five-year-old has been found a decent opportunity to express himself on chasing debut and it would come as something of a surprise if he wasn’t involved.

ELECTRIC DREAMER (best price 6-1) must be commended for finishing as close as she did to all-the-way winner Killashee at Killarney last time out and a run of a similar magnitude should see Liam Burke’s mare go close to shedding her maiden tag under rules.

In the region of 25 lengths behind John Ryan’s in-form mare with a circuit to run at the Kerry venue, she ended up whittling down the losing margin to four lengths at the line but when you consider she was 17 lengths clear of the third-placed horse, her effort becomes even more praiseworthy. Just to add an extra layer to this effort, she ran the last circuit on-par with top-class hurdler Flooring Porter, who ran in the two-mile novice chase earlier on the same card.

Being a former winning pointer, the step up to three miles clearly suited and the daughter of Malinas makes plenty of each-way appeal against similar opposition.
