GYTO horse racing tips for Saturday 28th September features a stat bet for Chelmsford and a Lucky 15 covering Newmarket, Haydock, the Curragh and Market Rasen.

Saturday Stat Bet

This is a bit of a guessing game as KHUTULUN hasn’t shown a great deal to date but she is bred to be quite a nice filly being by Mohaather and an opening mark of 56 may well prove lenient. I expect her to improve now stretching out to 7f as well and this is unlikely to take a great deal of winning.

She has cheekpieces on for the first time and her trainer James Ferguson has done well with handicap debutants this year saddling nine winners and 15 places from just 30 runners which is quite impressive. I can see her being well backed so make sure you take the 5/1 on offer at the time of writing.

Lucky 15 Tips Today

Today’s Lucky 15 from Joe Norris at GYTO pays 220/1 at the time of posting – a £1 Lucky 15 would return £600 from a £15 outlay.

  • Wimbledon Hawkeye – Newmarket 1.50
  • Wiltshire - Haydock 3.15
  • Apples And Bananas - Curragh 3.45
  • Got Grey - Market Rasen 4.35

Newmarket 1.50 Wimbledon Hawkeye (7/2)

This looks like a decent renewal of the Royal Lodge Stakes and while Luther looked quite exciting winning at Haydock last time I do feel WIMBLEDON HAWKEYE is better value. The latter bumped into next years Guineas favourite The Lion In Winter when an excellent second at York last month and with further improvement a near certainty stretching out to a mile I think he can get back to winning ways.

15:15 Haydock

Haydock 3.15 Wiltshire (7/2)

I am hoping WILTSHIRE can give weight and a beating to these. This progressive 4yo has now won three of his last four and he was nicely on top to win at Newcastle when last seen. He has been given time since and can improve again given his unexposed profile so despite a 6lb rise looks the one to beat. This is competitive but he’ll get a good pace to run down which is a big plus.

15:45 Curragh

Curragh 3.45 Apples And Bananas (5/2)

Following a promising debut APPLES AND BANANAS improved to win at Kilbeggan and then follow up with a bit in hand again in France last month. That was a Listed contest so they clearly think a fair bit of this colt. He has been well backed the last twice too suggesting they know he is quite good. He has more to come and could bring up the hat-trick now. Antelope Canyon turned over the fav at Naas and is also going the right way so looks the danger.

16:35 Market Raseb

Market Rasen 4.35 Got Grey (2/1)

I have been really impressed with GOT GREY the last twice and his form is stacking up as the horse he beat at Stratford Calshot Spit has won since. He is effectively 12lb higher here but he has further improvement to come and he looks the most likely winner again. Pisgah Pike sprung a surprise getting back to winning ways at Worcester last month and looks the obvious danger if in that sort of form again here.
