That form has worked out well, as he had a host of subsequent winners in behind. The step up in trip should see him in an even better light, so he’s fancied to provide Wayne Lordan with another big winner this season.

ZAVATERI should be favourite for the Dewhurst Stakes on form balance. This horse has done nothing but improve each start and produced his customary tough attitude when getting the better of Gstaad in the National Stakes last time out.

With even more to offer, Eve Johnson Houghton’s stable star is fancied to take his unbeaten record to five. This is an extremely deep renewal, but I really like this horse, so hopefully he can deliver another class success.

The ground was pretty testing that day and she was conceding nearly two stone to the winner. I think she will be much happier back on a sounder surface.
She remains on the same mark as when an unlucky fifth in the Ascot Stakes on her penultimate start and I reckon she will be ridden in the same manner.
She’s a very tough and honest mare and if she can reproduce her form from when she contested that gruelling event at Ascot, then I think she’s got a serious chance.
