Galileo Charm and Militzie are the most appealing of the rest with experience, while Clouds Of Gold, a half-sister to a couple of all-weather winners, isn't exactly thrown in at the deep end and could be well placed to have an impact on her racecourse bow.

THE DARK BARON is just about the only one of these to have shown reliability lately and he gets the vote to hold sway in this company. Placed in all five starts since he won over an extended 1m1f here in October, cutting the four-year-old back in trip looks worth a try at this level. Sanditon is better than he managed at Chelmsford and could be another key player. Alazwar and Dayman complete the shortlist.
