Caramay (0.5pt ew)

Best price 9/1 at the time of publishing.

This looks a competitive 0-85 handicap but preference goes to CARAMAY (best priced at 9/1) who looks the most solid option. The six-year-old is a seven-time winner on the AW in her career and has consistent recent form figures of 13341.

Caramay won over this course and distance last time by two lengths off a mark of 72 and a 5lb rise from the handicapper seems fair. She is yet to win off a mark this high but has less question marks than many.

Dyrholaey (1pt)

Best price 9/2 at the time of publishing.

The Archie Watson trained DYRHOLAEY (best priced at 9/2) has a good strike rate on the AW with five victories from eleven starts including when getting back to winning ways at Chelmsford last time. He is yet to race at Kempton in his career so far but remains well handicapped on his previous form.

Dyrholaey was only beaten ¾ length off a mark of 89 in December 2024 in a 0-90 handicap so he still looks competitively handicapped off a mark of 86 in this 0-85 handicap off top weight. Hollie Doyle is now back on board and he looks the one to beat.

Naval Tribute (1pt)

Best price 7/2 at the time of publishing.

Both Rizal and NAVAL TRIBUTE (best priced at 3/1) have been well backed for this race since the markets opened and that looks significant. Rizal now makes his stable debut for George Scott having joined from Johnny Murtagh and Naval Tribute now makes his handicap debut. The James Owen trained five-year-old showed smart form in bumpers last year and has caught the eye in three runs over a mile on the flat this year.

Naval Tribute now steps up in trip to 1m3f on his handicap debut as well as being fit with first-time cheekpieces. Both of these should suit, especially the latter as he was beaten a nose, head and neck in bumpers last season so hopefully this improves his finishing effort. Luke Morris now takes over on board and he can get off the mark in this contest.
