The eight-year-old is well suited by testing conditions with three of his victories coming on heavy ground, all of marks higher than 82.

Mickey The Steel returned with a 3rd placed effort at the Curragh on heavy ground when only beaten 1 ½ lengths off this mark of 67 and he gets a 2lb swing in the weights with the reopposing Tai Tam Bay. He should run well with up to five places on offer.

The nine-year-old defied odds of 20/1 to win by 3 ¾ lengths last season before a close 4th in a listed race on his next start.

Hurricane Ivor slightly disappointed towards the end of last season on better ground but as a result has dropped down to a mark of 89. He won this on his reappearance last season so the return from a 176-day absence is no question mark and he should run well.
