UK Horse Racing Tips: Yarmouth

HAVANA SPRITE made a promising debut at Newmarket 17 days ago and gave the impression she'd come on plenty for it. With normal improvement, she must have a great chance and it's likely that form is stronger than Havana Lightning's fifth at the same track last month. Halliwell Stream is the pick of the newcomers and Havana Grey Star is also worthy of a mention.

Keep a close eye on the market when it comes to newcomers Boysofwallstreet, Peaceful Warrior and Rogue Imperial. Preference is for experience, though, and it will be disappointing if BASSRAH isn't a lot better than what she showed on debut at Nottingham. She wasn't without her supporters on that occasion and if she's come forward as expected, she could reward those punters who keep the faith.

URBAN WARRIOR gets in here under a light weight and might be able to strike. He improved notably on his handicap debut at Wolverhampton and is well worth another chance back down at this trip. Solanna is a C&D winner to note but the main danger is Law Supreme, who was in good nick prior to a lacklustre Thirsk display.

Betelgeuse has been the bridesmaid at Southwell the last twice and is of definite interest. However, his turf form has left a bit to be desired so far and IWANTMYTIMEWITHYOU looks the safer option. Ed Dunlop's charge was headed in the dying strides at Leicester recently but is unexposed at this trip and may well take another step forward. Saratoga Gold is next best.

KAMAWAY would have finished closer than she did on her handicap bow had she not encountered traffic problems, but the daughter of Kameko left that effort in her rear-view mirrors to score in commanding fashion over C&D next time. Eve Johnson Houghton's filly is fancied to shoulder a penalty en route to further success, but there are plenty of dangers which includes the likes of Havana Tobouggaloo, Timely Affair and Ribston Pippin.

The consistent Berry Clever can be expected to give his running once again, whilst dual C&D winner Noble Guest should appreciate the better ground but, even so, ROGUE ALLEGIANCE might be too strong. The Kodiac gelding had been in the doldrums before returning with a creditable second at Leicester, which he then backed up with a decent third over track and trip. Jack Jones' charge is open to plenty of improvement at seven furlongs and although he might not need much today, any would be a real bonus.
