Mark Pattinson's eight-year-old showed more when fourth over a mile at Bath in April and this looks a good opportunity to return to winning ways.

It's hard to ignore the claims of BIG TIME RASCAL, who has taken the silver medal home in this grade the last twice and is just 2lb higher. Michael Attwater's charge looks well placed to record a second career/course success. Mister Sandman finished fourth at Bath on his most recent start and is likely to be on the premises. Lynwood Lad is the pick of the remainder.

AMUSED bounced back to form when only finding one too good over 7f at Lingfield recently and races off an unchanged mark. With a similar display, he will prove tough to beat. A lot was expected of Lordsbridge Grey when only seventh at Southwell on his seasonal return, but he isn't one to write off on just his third start in handicap company. Rogue Dynasty is another to note.

All three of FIGHTING POET's career wins have come at this venue and, following on from an encouraging seasonal return, Richard Phillips' gelding might add to that tally. Letsbeatsepsis wasn't disgraced over a trip shorter than ideal at Lingfield and he's more than capable, especially with Toby Moore's 7lb allowance. Celtic John, who finished fourth over a mile here latest, looks worth another go at this distance.

CAPE TORONADA has posted a couple of solid efforts since returning to the grass this term, most recently when filling the runner-up spot at Windsor. Tony Carroll's filly is only 1lb higher today and whilst a few arrive with something to prove, she can go one place better. Saeculamation should be thereabouts, and Lieutenant Sir warrants a market check ahead of his handicap bow.

Merrimack and Ancient State both arrive on the back of second-placed finishes and can be expected to give their running, but it might be wise to stick with the recent C&D winner KENTO. The five-year-old will probably need a bit more upped in class from a 4lb higher mark, but he displayed a willing attitude to get up last time and might be up to the task.
