Cold Fish made a pleasing return to action when getting up for third over a mile at Goodwood last month, shaping as if this step back up in trip would be right up his street. He is respected, but ZABEEL SMALL only found a Godolphin hotpot too good on his introduction over an extended mile at Wolverhampton and is bound to improve from that experience. Egyptian Pharaoh isn't out of this either.

Another Abbot pulled a long way clear with a subsequent winner when scoring by a head at Yarmouth and is bound to mount a bold bid, but UNCLE DON gets the vote. Robert Cowell's gelding was touched off over track and trip on only his third appearance for the yard and could have more to offer. Durham Castle and Diligently are others to watch out for.

SEA HER EXCEL probably just needed her first run back at Nottingham because two solid efforts have followed. Third at Catterick last month, she took the necessary step forward when breaking through at Wetherby under this jockey and might have more improvement in her. Hallandale Beach might be one for the each-way players, but the main danger is Truly Glamorous, who caught the eye staying on well when a close-up fourth at this venue recently.

OUR GUY came out on top in a tight finish over C&D on his handicap bow and with further improvement likely, a 2lb rise shouldn't prevent Denis Coakley's gelding from doubling up. Visually bumped into the 3YO Dash winner Naana's Shadow when attempting to shoulder a penalty at Wolverhampton in October so may be underestimated by an opening mark of 77. Bath winner Marcellinus was no match for an improver at Hamilton but he remains of interest, especially with Ashley Lewis taking 5lb off his back.

Mrembo edged out Seventy over C&D, but even a 1lb swing for such a narrow margin of victory might be enough to see that form reversed. However, preference is for BIG BEAR HUG, who took a step back in the right direction with a creditable third at Lingfield and as long as that wasn't a flash in the pan, she can take full advantage of being 12lb below her last winning rating. Jimmy Mark is also noted.

Both ground and trip look ideal here and it would come as no surprise if this three-year-old racked up a winning sequence in the coming weeks. Court Of Stars is holding her form well and is expected to make a race of it, while Espona Bay won't be far away.
