This looks a competitive 0-60 handicap but preference goes to ONE OF OUR OWN (best priced at 7/1) who has a good record at this track. The Rebecca Menzies trained six-year-old won over this course and distance by a neck off a mark of 60 this time last year before 3rd beaten only a length a month later off a mark of 63 on her only other start at this track.
One Of Our Own has been running well recently at Redcar, winning a month ago by two lengths off a mark of 54 and finishing 3rd beaten only ½ length last time off a mark of 60. She runs here off the same mark and looks sure to be involved in the finish.

The Paul Midgley trained VENTURA EXPRESS (best priced at 15/2) is a four-time course and distance winner and is now well handicapped off his lowest mark since June 2021. The nine-year-old last won in July 2024 off a mark of 84 but has since dropped down the weights to a mark of 73. He has returned from a break in good form with form figures of 3544 including when only beaten a neck off a mark of 77 and 1 ¼ lengths off a mark of 76 on his penultimate start.
The handicapper has been generous in dropping Ventura Express 2lbs for his latest effort and he can hopefully return to winning ways in this race.
