TIP 1: ROARING RALPH - 1pt
Best odds of 7/2 at Betfred while publishing.
Midsummer Storm is interesting on handicap debut but the most solid option is ROARING RALPH (best priced at 7/2). The Michael Dods trained six-year-old has won five of his previous six starts with his previous two victories coming on turf at Ayr and Wetherby. He won by 1 ½ lengths last time off a mark of 73 in an apprentice handicap under Rhys Elliott and as a result can run in this handicap off the same mark.
The handicapper has raised him 4lbs up to a mark of 77 so he runs here from 4lbs “well in” at the weights and he looks the one to beat.

TIP 2: CREATIVE QUEEN - 1pt
Best odds of 5/2 at BetVictor while publishing.
The William Haggas trained CREATIVE QUEEN (best priced at 5/2) was beaten at odds of 4/9, 9/4 and 9/2 on her first three career starts before making a winning handicap debut at Yarmouth last time when fitted with first-time blinkers. The three-year-old was once again sent off a well backed 5/4 favourite that day and made all to win by 1 ¾ lengths at the finish.
This step up in trip to 7f should suit Creative Queen well and she should be able to defy a 4lb rise from handicapper.

TIP 3: ALMUHIT - 1pt
Best odds of 3/1 at PricedUp while publishing.
This looks a competitive 0-85 handicap despite there only being four runners. Preference goes to ALMUHIT (best priced at 3/1) who won this race last year off only a 1lb lower mark. The Faye Bramley trained seven-year-old followed up with a victory at this course off a mark of 84 in July and proved his wellbeing when winning over hurdles at Fontwell a fortnight ago.
Almuhit is still competitively handicapped on the flat off a mark of 83 and connections have booked the talented Harry Vigors to take off a handy 5lbs from the top weight.
