ELLUSIVE BUTTERFLY - 1pt WIN @ 5/2

Top-rated, but does gives away a penalty on the back of her Listed win at Epsom on Oaks day.

Made all to beat a well-backed Joseph O’Brien horse, and hopefully can get a soft lead from stall 3.

She was only 1 & 1/2L off Touleen in the Group 3 Fred Darling in April, and Touleen was an unlucky second in a Group 1 at Royal Ascot last week.

Clear chance if handling the return to quicker ground.

ALTAREQ - 1pt WIN @ 11/2

ALTAREQ, formerly with the Gosden’s, has shown up well for current stable of Jim Goldie.

He had three runs for the former, with the best being the last when a head second at Newbury.

Then gelded, and switched to this stable for a 30k winners pot at York.

Warrant Holder won in the colours of the King and Queen, and the 103 rated Thunder Run finished second in that 15 runner contest.

ALTAREQ dwelt and had plenty to do, but stayed on very well when slowly away and was beaten just over a length.

This son of Frankel is brother to a Listed winner, and has been raised three pounds to a mark of 83, which would look to underestimate him on that evidence.

Add in the Hamilton run where he had to switch out wide when outpaced, but stayed on best of all in an eye-catching manner once again.

Hopefully it’s not a case of him keep looking like he’s due the win and not delivering, but I don’t think that’s the case so far and can put up another bold display, if the last run at York can be forgiven when sent off favourite in a stronger race than this.

Class drop and trip, but will get a pace to aim at and stay on strongly for the Carlisle Bell, worth £15k to the winner.
