The additional couple of furlongs won't be an issue for this proven stayer, who is an ideal type for an event such as this. Uncle Liam was a well-held fifth behind the selection last week, but is unexposed over the trip and is a feasible improver. Falaise Blanc is a reasonable alternative.

PRETTY LITTLE BABY was a promising third on debut at Thirsk and created the impression she can win races. A January foal, the daughter of Persian Force showed a professional attitude and is entitled to be a good deal wiser for the experience. Call Nicki hasn't done much wrong so far and merits close inspection representing an in-form yard. Flower Youmzain and Sovereign Grace hinted at ability on their introductions and are not ruled out.

Impressor and Doon The Glen would have their chances enhanced if any rain were to arrive, although last week's Southwell winner J Street and Pivotal Terms probably have stronger chances based on recent form. They can figure strongly in a competitive race for the grade. Preference, however, is for THORNABY PEARL, who is versatile regarding the ground and he may be the one best suited to coping with the stiff uphill finish.

PARISIAC has returned this season in fine fettle, with a C&D success at the start of the month followed up by runner-up efforts at Carlisle and Ayr. The seven-year-old is 1lb well-in and has every chance of gaining an 11th career victory. Woohoo went close at Musselburgh last time and she appears capable of further improvement, while Dyonisos is expected to bounce back from his latest effort in the Dash at Epsom.

Kahin improved from his debut with a brace of solid displays, including when runner-up at Windsor last time, but the son of Kingman's finishing effort can be questioned and the extra furlong does pose a concern. It isn't a surprise that Valenday was gelded after his return at Doncaster as he hasn't looked straightforward and the addition of blinkers may also aid him. However, a chance is taken with IT'S DEBATABLE, who stepped forward from his first run when fourth at Redcar and is likely to have more to offer.

RUBY WEDDING had shown some promise in novice company before failing to land a blow on her handicap bow at Ascot. This looks a much easier task for Andrew Balding's filly and she won't be presented with many better opportunities to shed the maiden tag. Jujubella ran better when upped to 1m5f here on her latest outing and may prove to be more of a threat than Aussie Pearl, who needs to improve from her return over C&D.

IRIS DANCER won over C&D and nearly backed that up when returning here last week. The eight-year-old makes plenty of appeal in a contest where the majority of her rivals arrive with something to prove. Mr Cool took a step back in the right direction when third at Ripon but the main threat could come from Sherlock, who has blinkers reapplied following some consistent efforts.
