The booking of Oisin Murphy catches the eye too. Afraj is far from out of this either.

Secret History failed to complete the hat-trick when only fourth over a mile at Carlisle last month, but this drop in trip is an interesting move and she might be one to keep on side. Even so, ANGEL GABRIEL looks the way to go. Ralph Beckett's gelding signed off his juvenile campaign with victory at Lingfield and could exploit a potentially lenient mark of 82 on his return to the fray. Hamilton third Sierra Sands is another to watch out for.

WHAT A GIRL WANTS is turned out quickly after running in the Albany at Royal Ascot last Friday where she barely had a race, having faced traffic problems at the rear of the field before plugging on in the closing stages. Her form in Ireland prior to that sets the standard, despite not getting her head in front yet, and she is more than capable at this level. Glorious Game was chased home by Motown Filly at Windsor and both are expected to be in the mix, along with Bath scorer Havana Sprite.

MUDBIR was progressive last season, winning a brace of handicaps at Sandown and Goodwood, but was disappointing when sent off favourite for the Victoria Cup at Ascot on his return to action. The four-year-old has been gelded since and the booking of William Buick suggests connections are confident that the son of Kingman will bounce back. Superposition returned to winning ways on the Rowley Mile last month at the expense of Silver Ghost. However, the latter, who had also run well at the Guineas meeting, may reverse the form.

Silent City ended her 2025 campaign by winning on the Rowley Mile in September before returning the following month and finishing runner-up to a progressive type. However, she may prove vulnerable against race-fit rivals on her return and the vote goes to LUNA CELESTE. She went close on her first couple of starts before getting off the mark at Leicester and the step up to a mile on her handicap debut appears likely to bring about further improvement. Thursday Girl and Crystal Pier are others worth considering.
