The latter won a match race at Yarmouth a fortnight ago and can give his old rival plenty to think about if coping with a 5lb rise. However, Perfidia is back on a winning mark and could be a bigger danger on these terms. Mbappe is also potentially well handicapped and dangerous to underestimate.

Doralee is another to watch out for.
