Coral Eclipse Stakes Runners Guide
CONSTITUTION RIVER
Aidan O’Brien trained colt who has won his previous four starts. An impressive seven length winner at Chester on his reappearance, he beat stablemate Hawk Mountain by ¾ length in the Group 1 French Derby over this 1m2f trip. He looks a strong contender to give his trainer a fourth win in a row with a three-year-old colt.
GETHIN
Progressive four-year-old who is yet to finish out of the top two in his six career starts, winning half of those. The Owen Burrows trained colt was an impressive winner on his reappearance at Kempton before finishing a neck second to Ombudsman in the Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown last time in receipt of 7lbs.
SADDAAD
A winner of the Group 3 Gordon Richards Stakes on his reappearance which took his record over this course and distance to 2/2. He was caught too far back when 3rd behind Almaqam and Bay City Roller in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup last time but will be suited by this return to Sandown.
A BOY NAMED SUSIE
An impressive debut winner at Killarney last season, the Donnacha O’Brien trained colt has run well win defeat on his next six starts when finishing behind the likes of Constitution River, Benvenuto Cellini, Christmas Day and Pierre Bonnard. He finished 4th in the French Derby when last seen but didn’t get the clearest of runs that day.

Betting Insights for the Coral Eclipse Stakes
Aidan O’Brien has dominated this race in recent years winning it with three-year-old colts for past three years. His star colt CONSTITUTION RIVER (best priced at 11/10) looks his most likely contender this year having won both of his starts over this 1m2f trip this season. An impressive winner at Chester on his reappearance, he overcame a wide draw to win the French Derby and has the perfect profile for the race based on trends.
Recommended Bet: Constitution River 11/10 (1pt)
