Oristown Boy made good late headway when fourth at Down Royal recently, while Peckedbytheparrott contested a hot Curragh maiden on debut.

ELUSIVE ECHO won a barrier trial in May and might turn around Gowran form with Star of Beauty, who was a place in front of the selection in second. The aforementioned Star Of Beauty has obvious claims but is much more exposed, while Almeiyda is rated 72 and it would be no surprise to see her make the frame here.

TOY SOLDIER is a four-year-old who benefitted from a recent drop in the ratings and should be competitive. A dual winner in the UK, the selection was rated 78 just last year and having been well backed when fourth at Killarney in May, finished a close second over this distance at Down Royal recently. Veteran 14-time winner Brains finished second over course and distance in May and continues to hold his form, while Methgal wasn't beaten far at Limerick last time.

NERMAL has shown some decent form in four maiden starts and contests his first handicap. Although beaten as an odds-on favourite at Ballinrobe recently, the selection remains open to improvement. Iamimmaculate won a claimer at Naas last September and ran well at Leopardstown subsequently, but would probably prefer easy ground. Adel is 6lb higher then when scoring over a longer trip here in May.

THATWILLDOSO won last year's renewal of this race and scored from his current rating at the Galway festival last August. A three-time winner, the selection showed some encouragement at Ballinrobe recently and should not be underestimated. Amplitude has been running consistently well of late, while Follow Me ran satisfactorily when tried at this trip last month and is now 4lb lower.

CHALLY CHUTE won this last year and has the benefit of having had a run this time around. A solid campaigner, the selection scored at Group 3 level last November and showed his well-being with a smart runner-up effort at Limerick earlier this month. Starford won a Group 3 contest in April but may prefer a softer surface. Listed winner Shaool should go well, while Dreamkeeper is another to bear in mind.

CRACKING CLOUD has shown fair form and can land this ordinary maiden. Out of a Ribblesdale winner, the selection showed promise on his Gowran debut before disappointing at Ballinrobe. He ran well enough again at Gowran earlier this month and is race-fit. Catherine Magennis finished a well-held seventh behind the selection in April but, being a half-sister to two black-type performers, she should progress. Steel Cut is rated 80 and also has a shout.
