SILVER WRAITH is capable of more than she delivered at Sandown 18 days ago and is better judged on the form of a win and second-placed finish posted at Bath on her two starts prior to that. Generally consistent, the Emma Lavelle-trained filly can bounce back in this company. Connie's Rose and The Thames Boatman are others capable of bold showings, while Cayman Tai can go close if staging a revival.

FLYING PIRATE overcame greenness to edge out Harry Knows on his debut in a similar event over C&D three weeks ago. A penalty obviously gives the latter a good chance of reversing the form. However, Eve Johnson Houghton's colt has bags of scope for improvement and edges the vote as the clear pick of the yard's two runners. Chester winners Metamouse and Poppy Foxy also command respect.

ADDISON GREY was a beaten favourite at Newbury last time out but punters who keep the faith can be rewarded here. Clive Cox's charge performed better than his finishing position suggests that day and had been knocking hard on the door prior to that. The four-year-old gets a confident vote in this company ahead of Yarmouth winner Another Abbot and Sudden Flight. Don't be too surprised if Jel Pepper goes well either.

STORMING POINT is going to win a maiden like this sooner rather than later judged on the strength of his form at Newbury and Windsor in particular. Stretching out further in trip may also suit and he should take all of the beating. Aleatrix boasts a nice pedigree and is comfortably the pick of the newcomers going to post, but the main danger is Al Qatem, who is surely a lot better than what he showed on debut at Wolverhampton.

All three of these arrive on the back of wins and are clearly more than capable, but GONE BY edges the verdict. Ralph Beckett's filly built on an encouraging Ascot return to bolt up at Ripon and could prove to be much better than an opening mark of 90, especially given her lofty entries. Pearl River had a bit in hand when winning at York and is probably the main threat ahead of Windsor maiden scorer Mythical Valentine.

LEGACY ROCK notched up a brace of Windsor successes and although a beaten-favourite at Nottingham most recently, it's possible that a quick turnaround found him out. He's a further 2lb higher this time, but the Kameko gelding has been given a month off since then and could resume his progress on the back of it. Dark Sovereign shaped with promise on his handicap bow and might do better over a mile, while Hot And Cold is also noted.
