Battle Fever is an interesting newcomer and makes plenty of appeal on pedigree. Kevin Ryan knows how to ready a debutant and he could be the answer with the participation of Viking Barbie and Nightbloom not guaranteed here given their prior engagements on Friday. Autumn Jewel is taken to step forward now with the benefit of a Musselburgh debut effort under her belt, while Waiting For Archie has shown some ability in starts at Thirsk and Leicester.
Prediction : 1st Battle Fever 2nd Autumn Jewel 3rd Waiting For Archie

Happy Love and Astral Calling are noteworthy newcomers going to post for this maiden and the market should tell us more. However, experience can win the day and HIGH HAZARD showed the benefit of having a Thirsk debut effort under his belt when finishing an improved second here last month. He was short of room close home that day and can certainly be given another chance.
Prediction : 1st High Hazard 2nd Happy Love 3rd Astral Calling

AMANTHA is the sole runner in the field to have tasted success and, although that was only in a moderate Musselburgh seller, it's the best piece of form on offer and she can make her nursery debut a winning one off top-weight. Emerald Bay also goes handicapping for the first time and must be taken seriously for a top yard now cheekpieces are applied, while similar sentiments apply to Happy Humpo.
Prediction : 1st Amantha 2nd Emerald Bay 3rd Happy Humpo

Phantom Flight was sent off 100/1 for the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot and never really got involved, but he could quite easily bounce back in this company. By The Book is another interesting contender given his connections, but AL AASY is the class horse in the race and the multiple Group 3 winner should take some stopping judged on an encouraging comeback second in the John Porter Stakes at Newbury (Phantom Flight last of six).
Prediction : 1st Al Aasy 2nd By The Book 3rd Phantom Flight

SANDY CRAIC rallied well in the closing stages to score over 7f at Carlisle last month. David O'Meara's filly appeared to win a shade cosily and a 2lb rise doesn't look insurmountable on her first attempt at this longer trip. Come On Eibhlin is a consistent sort with solid claims based on her recent placed efforts, while Porth Eilian has been in fine form at Hamilton and the fast conditions underfoot will suit the Palace Pier filly.
Prediction : 1st Sandy Craic 2nd Come On Eibhlin 3rd Porth Eilian

Picked off late over 7f at Thirsk recently, It Just Takes Time should be in the mix once again. Tattie Bogle had the measure of Coolree (second) when successful here last month and makes a quick reappearance after going close at Thirsk earlier in the week, but GLENFINNAN gets another chance. The latter's C&D success in May has worked out well and Michael Dods' charge finished a solid fourth over a longer trip at Carlisle last time.
Prediction : 1st Glenfinnan 2nd It Just Takes Time 3rd Tattie Bogle

Truly Special beat Battenburg Belle (second) over 6f at Carlisle last month and the latter went on to score over the same trip at Catterick. However, both have something to prove over this far and HOOD WINK looks a safer proposition. The son of Time Test dead-heated for first over a mile at Wetherby back in April and his recent third at Ripon can be marked up given he had to be switched for a clear run.
Prediction : 1st Hood Wink 2nd Truly Special 3rd Battenburg Belle
