ROCKY'S HOWYA has been found another excellent opportunity and should take all the beating. Champion point-to-pointer for the 2022/2023 season, he switched back to hurdling last November and has really found his niche in this grade. He disappointed over fences here last month, but previously registered a third claimer success and now contests an ordinary race. Howdoyalikeherhome is rated 1lb higher, but has been well beaten in two recent chases. Five-time winner Tullyveery Lad was badly hampered at an early stage when finishing well held at Ballinrobe and is capable of better.
Prediction : 1st Rockys Howya 2nd Howdoyalikeherhome 3rd Tullyveery Lad

TAKE THE FREE has progressed well in three runs and ran well at this course last month. By a top stallion and a half-brother to a dual winner, he showed promise at Cork in May before finishing a useful second here. Given his pedigree, he should be fine stepping up in trip. Point-to-point winner Frankie's Freebie has finished second in three maiden hurdles and while he is a little more exposed, should compete. Acheron, runner-up at big odds recently, and Imarajan are both rated 105.
Prediction : 1st Take The Free 2nd Frankies Freebie 3rd Acheron

GAME POINT can benefit from his two previous hurdle starts and contests a race which is likely to be dominated by frustrating types. A five-time runner-up on the level, he is a keen-goer but has shown nice ability over jumps and bumped into a capable winner at Limerick in May. Astelia is thoroughly frustrating, having finished second six times over hurdles and seven times in all. She is useful, though, and has a similar profile to Firebrand, who has finished second in five of 10 previous hurdle runs. The reappearing How's Ellie showed ability on debut at Galway, but has a tough enough task on her jumps bow.
Prediction : 1st Game Point 2nd Astelia 3rd Firebrand

A chance is taken that MINELLA MOON SHINE could be a capable type and is ready on his comeback. From a useful Flat family, he represents a yard which excels at producing young jumps horses and while he fell on his point-to-point debut in May 2024, he was leading when exiting at the fourth-last. It is a positive that connections are persevering with him. Manoir De Mirande has shown useful form and has a race-fitness edge, but is somewhat exposed. World As One, a half-brother to Colonel Mustard, has a fine German pedigree but was no match for High Kick Kev on debut and was then beaten at Kilbeggan. It looks to be a negative that he now skips another bumper.
Prediction : 1st Minella Moon Shine 2nd Manoir De Mirande 3rd World As One

DANI DONADONI has been tried over a variety of distances and easily opened his hurdling account in a 2m3f Limerick maiden this spring. The Willie Mullins-trained gelding was only caught close home over 3m at Wexford last time and may now have most to fear from the hat-trick seeking Endless Talking, who impressively made all in a Downpatrick maiden before successfully switching to fences at Tramore. The Store Boy was also prominent throughout when taking a Ballinrobe maiden over this trip, while Down Royal bumper winner Lizzie Twigg scored in fine style on her hurdling debut at Punchestown last month.
Prediction : 1st Dani Donadoni 2nd Endless Talking 3rd Lizzie Twigg

PATTY O'FARRELL won at Listowel last summer before finishing third in this race and is following the same campaign. The daughter of Policy Maker was only headed close home at Listowel last month and remains on a competitive mark. Annie's Angel was noted finishing well at Downpatrick and the dual-purpose filly rates a threat along with Whispering Willow, who was third on her latest two outings over fences and won over this trip at Punchestown on her previous start over hurdles. Highland Earl has been absent since scoring at Wexford 12 months ago.
Prediction : 1st Patty OFarrell 2nd Annies Angel 3rd Whispering Willow

KATIE'S CASPER appreciated the step up to 3m when beating all bar Love Like This at Kilbeggan, with Chasing Crowns over six lengths back in fifth. The Getaway mare has scope for further improvement and gets the vote over Its Not Over Yet. The C&D winner indicated a third career victory could soon be on the cards when staying on into third at Listowel last time, while Mistyburn won over a similar trip at Kilbeggan on his penultimate start and Darragh O'Keeffe is again in the saddle. Fair Damsel rates a threat if staying this longer distance, while light weights Moonshine Girl and Queen Kulina are others to note.
Prediction : 1st Katies Casper 2nd Its Not Over Yet 3rd Mistyburn

20:22 Roscommon

RED SEA GIRL kept on well into third over hurdles at Wexford before beating all bar La Cote Fleurie in a Tipperary bumper last October. That race has been working out well since and the daughter of Affinisea may prove difficult to beat if reproducing that level of form after a break of nine months. Goodgollymissholly put a disappointing debut at Sligo last year behind her when runner-up to Irish Lace at Downpatrick last month, while Gordon Elliott also introduces Gratitudeforgrace. Shuil Solas and Nancy Wheeler are other newcomers to note in the market, while Aodha's Arrow and Ronnie's Rascal are others to consider.
Prediction : 1st Red Sea Girl 2nd Goodgollymissholly 3rd Shuil Solas
