Gordon Elliott enjoyed a treble at Cork on Friday and his good run of form can continue with COOL NATIVE in the opener at Downpatrick. The daughter of Westerner has shown plenty of promise in maiden hurdles and sets the standard on form. Her third at Navan in November reads well in the context of this contest. Stuart Crawford's Ritz Plan looks the chief danger after some solid maiden efforts, while the consistent Bayonetta, runner-up on her last two starts, could prove dangerous if allowed an easy lead.
Prediction : 1st Cool Native 2nd Ritz Plan 3rd Bayonetta

LUKER'S TIPPLE has been a frustrating horse to follow, having been beaten as favourite on four occasions and is still searching for a first victory after 19 starts. However, a tentative vote goes his way in what looks a modest maiden hurdle. The five-year-old sets the standard with his rating of 110 and this represents a good opportunity to finally get off the mark. Jet Renegade is feared most after showing improved form over hurdles and could capitalise if the selection disappoints again, while Your Call appeals as the best of the remainder.
Prediction : 1st Lukers Tipple 2nd Jet Renegade 3rd Your Call

SEA OF DOUBT was an impressive winner over C&D in May and, despite racing from an 8lb higher mark, Ian Donoghue's mare can follow up in this contest. She has been a model of consistency over the past 12 months and backed up her course success with a solid third at Wexford at the end of June. Sneddy Eddie rates the chief threat after a respectable fifth at Wexford in early June, while Bryson looks the best of the remainder and holds each-way claims.
Prediction : 1st Sea Of Doubt 2nd Sneddy Eddie 3rd Bryson

SAN HILARIO sets the standard in this maiden hurdle with a rating of 117 and brings some of the strongest form on offer. The gelding has previously run with credit and this looks a good opportunity to finally get off the mark. While he has shown a tendency to find one too good, it would be disappointing if he failed to capitalise here. The returning Martin Plage, making his first start since December 2024, is an interesting contender, while Sampoet can battle it out for the minor honours.
Prediction : 1st San Hilario 2nd Martin Plage 3rd Sampoet

The vote goes to BUTCH COOLIDGE. The son of Walk In The Park, out of the high-class Solerina, was a determined winner at Tramore at the end of May before failing to build on that effort when racing too freely on his latest start. That run can be forgiven and he looks capable of bouncing back. Playtime brings strong and consistent form into the race, while Gordon Elliott's Lemmy Caution is noted.
Prediction : 1st Butch Coolidge 2nd Playtime 3rd Lemmy Caution

JOYA DEL MAR has won on her last two visits to the track and may be able to complete a C&D hat-trick. The Dermot McLoughlin-trained mare was an easy winner here in May and after finishing mid-division at Sligo, she struck again at this venue last month. A 7lb rise makes life tougher but she clearly has a liking for the track. Nakassama was also a C&D winner, on his penultimate start, and he looks a likely danger. Cozone is noted too.
Prediction : 1st Joya Del Mar 2nd Nakassama 3rd Cozone

17:19 Downpatrick

REMEMBERWHAT shaped with promise on his debut at Kilbeggan last month and may be able to take a step forward here. He wasn't beaten far when fourth to Johnny Rambo and the second and third from that race have run solid races since. Payslip is interesting on her first start for Gavin Cromwell. The Workforce mare was runner-up in two point-to-points and is considered along with Be My Fortune.
Prediction : 1st Rememberwhat 2nd Payslip 3rd Be My Fortune
