STAR OF STATE makes plenty of appeal on the back of a hugely encouraging debut. She came through late on to take second place behind the promising Livenka over a trip close to this at Fairyhouse last week and that experience should stand her in good stead. Pink Venom improved on her initial outing here when third behind the selection's stablemate Alwaysanangel at Fairyhouse last time. She might well reach the frame again, while the newcomers This That and Not You Too might also be considered.

It's a slight concern that STAR GLORY was withdrawn when becoming upset in the stalls here last month, but she had previously shaped up nicely on her Curragh debut and looks worth chancing. She came from some way back to take sixth place that day and, if on her best behaviour now, she can put it up to the more experienced Sea Of Rain. The latter finished clear of Jezzie Bea and Ballyskeagh when second at Roscommon and can confirm superiority.

BEAR RIGHT flew home to take third place at Fairyhouse last time, despite having failed to get a clear run. Cheekpieces go on for the first time here and another bold bid is expected from her favourable draw. Ardadslosttheplot goes back up in distance after taking third spot over 5f at Naas earlier this month. That was a fine effort on what was her first start since September of last year, while both Comfort Line and course winner Faoladh have also done well lately.

BELLESQUE finished a promising second to the highly regarded Maire Rua over 7f here a week ago. That was an encouraging debut and she might now go a place better at the main expense of the Ballydoyle newcomer So Lovely, who like the selection, holds an entry in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Sarah's Choice was runner-up to the selection's stable companion Dancing Destiny in a Listed contest at Naas and it's difficult to see her finishing out of the frame on that form.

INVINCIBLE WILL did well to finish as close as he did over 7f here last week after a sluggish start. He'll be a different proposition if getting away on terms this time and will likely improve for the step back up in distance. Aviatrice won a Listed race over this trip at Dundalk in November and has shown up well in tough handicaps over shorter since, while How'sthebai was a winner on soft ground here early last month and could also land a blow.

Winner of the corresponding race last year, SNELLEN can make it back-to-back successes. A promising third here over 7f on her reappearance, the Gavin Cromwell-trained mare ran a big race when fifth in Group 2 company at Royal Ascot last time. Back up in trip for this, the daughter of Expert Eye looks the one to beat. A smart juvenile last term, Geryon has shaped with promise on all four runs this season. He has solid claims, along with Adelaide River.

The Ger Lyons-trained DALER can register a second win here this season. A former all-weather victor, the Dark Angel gelding made the breakthrough on turf when scoring at this venue on his penultimate start. A staying on second at Ballinrobe last month, the four-year-old still looks ahead of the handicapper. Faced with an additional furlong now, this looks a nice opportunity to resume winning ways. Third in that aforementioned Ballinrobe race, Marmeladova went one better when runner-up at Tramore subsequently. The Ken Condon-trained mare has every chance of getting her head back in front. Faro Island, who arguably ran better than the bare form suggests when mid division in the Apprentices Derby, is also worthy of serious consideration.

Having shaped with promise on his last two starts for trainer Harry Rogers, COOLEY'S MIST can record a first career win. A son of Churchill, the four-year-old gelding has run some of his best races at this track. Seemingly at his best on fast ground, he looks likely to have his optimum conditions on this occasion and, Chris Hayes returns to the saddle. A lightly raced daughter of Masar, Killyclogher Rose made a winning handicap debut at Naas last month. Open to further improvement after just four starts, the Andy Oliver-trained four-year-old shouldn't be far away. Ob La Di, who caught the eye staying on late in the Ladies Derby last time, is another that has to be considered.
