Both should go well, but preference is for experience. Of the other newcomers going to post, Watch Party and Somers Isles are particularly interesting.

CERRO BLANCO should take the world of beating. He bumped into a nice type in Saber Strike when contesting a Listed contest over on the Rowley Mile Course in May and that second-placed effort followed a really taking debut win there at the Craven meeting. There is nothing of Saber Strike's calibre in this race and he should be able to successfully give weight to Vastern and Anncanya.

COUNTER INTUITIVE gets weight from her three rivals here and is expected to go very close on her handicap debut following a taking Thirsk triumph. She made all of the running that day when stepped up to 1m4f for the first time and strikes as the type who should have a lot more to offer. Level Look boasts a similar profile and is respected along with Cranachan in first-time blinkers, while you couldn't rule out Patrol with any real confidence.

DARN HOT GALLOP has faced some stiff assignments since winning on the Rowley Mile at the Craven meeting, having been outclassed in the 1000 Guineas before finishing down the field in the Sandringham at Royal Ascot. This is a much easier assignment and the extra couple of furlongs might yield improvement, especially given the dam's side of her pedigree. Way Of Life has been in fine fettle on the all-weather and can enter the reckoning, along with High Degree.

GRANDLAD won on his return to action at Nottingham in April and the five-year-old makes plenty of appeal in his attempt to follow up off a 2lb higher mark. Valley Ofthe Kings took a step back in the right direction when runner-up here over 6f last time and the drop in trip doesn't appear likely to be an inconvenience. Rogue Bullet completes the shortlist.

ROSE OF HONOUR lost her unbeaten record when stepped up to Listed company at Ayr but it's far too soon to be writing her off after just one moderate effort. Back in handicap company for this assignment, it would come as no surprise if James Tate's charge bounced back to her best and going back up to 6f should suit as well. Novamay and Lady Kodiac are others to bear in mind.

PREFER THE SISTER arrives in good nick and looks the answer to the finale. James Owen's charge has won two of her last three starts and is clearly taking her racing well judged on a smooth Yarmouth success which came just 24 hours after her Brighton reverse. Another bold showing looks assured and she gets the nod ahead of Born A Rebel and Coolagh Magic.
