In a race where the form standard isn't too high, the Sir Mark Prescott-trained FOREST BERRY stands out after being beaten a length over C&D in May and following that with a two-length fourth at Lingfield. If she settles better, she has every chance, despite being bred to excel over further. Defiant Dream ran on well when second over shorter at Ffos Las and enters calculations, while Dissenter showed promise on her debut at Bath and is another for the shortlist.

Too Much Trevor showed a willing attitude to win by a neck over C&D but his 5lb penalty leaves him 2lb above his new mark, which should make life difficult. PREFER THE SISTER arrives in superb form, winning three of her last four, the latest coming in a Newmarket apprentices' handicap that means she goes unpenalised. Due to go up 9lb for future contests, connections are looking to strike before that kicks in. Sioux Warrior is the pick for third.

Kodi Fire made every yard over C&D last week. He'll find life tougher carrying a penalty and similar tactics could play into the hands of 2025 winner DARVEL. The eight-year-old has shown distinct signs of a resurgence of late, having placed at Brighton and Epsom, and last season's winning partner Charlie Bishop is back in the plate. Eutropia also arrives in fine fettle and could be in the mix.

Runner-up on four of his last five starts, David Evans' charge went close at Wolverhampton last time and collateral form with the winner gives him the beating of Prince Ali. The seven-year-old escapes a penalty for that success and is 6lb well-in so he's fancied to again repel reopposing runner-up/stablemate Savannah Smiles, who isn't taken lightly reunited with Harry Vigors' 5lb claim. The consistent Level Up should be involved too.

The penny seems to have dropped judged on Midnight Media's latest displays at Wolverhampton and she's likely to be a warm order in her bid to complete a double. That said, she has yet to prove as effective on turf, which could leave the door open for FOZZY OSBOURNE. The Eastern Anthem gelding finished a never-nearer third on his handicap bow over a mile here and this step up in distance might be the making of him. Crimson Road may fare best of the remainder.
