Trouville won easily at Worcester and warrants respect, although he does have to give 7lb to the selection, while Whermyrosemarygoes is an interesting point-to-point recruit who has the benefit of Harry Cobden riding.

Chicago Storm also returns to hurdles on his second start for Barry Murtagh and is another to consider.

However, THICKTHORN TOM goes from strength to strength over fences, winning three of his last four outings, and he could prove tough to beat reverting to timber off a 7lb lower mark than his latest victory. Cawthorne Banker and Jet Patrol are hard to separate for the minor placing.

UNCLE AL appeared to relish faster ground when bouncing back to winning ways at Huntingdon in May and the seven-year-old makes plenty of appeal with conditions in his favour once again. Slaney Opera is turned out quickly after his Cartmel second on Monday and he is likely to enter the reckoning. Others for the shortlist include Izzy's Grey and Jongleur D'etoiles.

MISTRAL BLUE was too strong for the opposition over C&D in June and Fergal O'Brien's mare is more than capable of defying a 5lb rise given the authority of that success. Rock Hurley won at Bangor, despite his jumping not being particularly fluent. and is capable of another decent showing, but the main danger is likely to be Colegram, who also won at the Welsh venue and now starts off in handicap company.

Since being stepped up in trip, Dan Skelton's four-year-old has won two of his last four outings and is likely to have further improvement to come. With a clear round, she has to be an obvious threat, along with Dream Diamond.

Although thwarted in his bid to complete a four-timer, ICE JET should have learned plenty from his second-placed chase bow over 2m4f here. Reverting to 2m, nor a 4lb higher mark, is unlikely to prevent another bold bid from Dan Skelton's progressive gelding and he's fancied to regain the winning thread. Connections of Merely A Detail wasted no time in switching her attentions to chasing and she won well at Worcester 23 days ago. She's feared most, ahead of Schmilsson.

Sparkling Water is likely to attract attention on her stable debut for Dan Skelton and she isn't easily dismissed after finishing second behind a useful type at Warwick in February. That said, LUCY GLITTERS offered plenty of promise on her opening second at Worcester and any improvement could see her go one place better. Thetype Istitle made a winning Rules bow at Stratford and the four-year-old is another to take seriously.
