Jack Nicholls is also enjoying a profitable spell in the saddle and gets the leg-up on Artagnan, who was too bad to be true over C&D last time. Kats Bob took a big step back in the right direction when touched off at York, while Star Material is worth a look in first-time blinkers.

William Haggas is always worth following when sending runners to Redcar and his Newmarket debut scorer Vanilla Skies lost little in defeat when trying to follow up against an odds-on shot at Salisbury. She has an official rating of 76 - the same as ARETI - but Oliver Cole's filly is in receipt of 7lb and can take full advantage. She was only half a length adrift of Vanilla Skies on level terms at HQ. Royale Union wasn't beaten all that far at Southwell and should come forward.

Kitsune Power showed his appreciation for the return to turf when ending a drought at Beverley. He holds no secrets from the handicapper, though, whereas LEOPARDS ROCK has displayed plenty of potential in novice company and an initial figure of 75 could be lenient. Fellow three-year-old Lucky Hero appeared to stay this trip well enough when third at Ripon and might have more to offer. Harswell Ruby couldn't make the most of a favourable mark at Thirsk and may be best watched for the time being.

Fitness needs to be taken on trust, but WILD DAHLIA makes plenty of appeal on her first run since October. William Haggas' filly showed promise on her first two starts, most notably when third on debut behind Irish Oaks runner-up Inis Mor at Newmarket, before getting off the mark at Chelmsford. She ended the campaign with a runner-up effort on her nursery debut and a wind operation/first-time tongue-tie are potential sources of improvement. Borjina is likely to be competitive after finishing second at Doncaster, while Sandy Craic and Homestrait appeal most of the remainder.

Valsharah has gone close on his last couple of starts in classified events at Brighton and is expected to play a leading role in proceedings. However, a chance is taken with GOLDEN PROSPERITY. The seven-year-old has been running consistently well, finishing third at Thirsk and Beverley, and this may be the opportunity he has been waiting for. South Shore Island completes the shortlist.

Pisanello took advantage of a falling mark when getting back to winning ways here over a furlong further, but whether the veteran can back that up under a 4lb penalty remains to be seen. Tees George is 1lb higher than for his last success at Beverley in April and he is capable of a decent showing, but WOODLEIGH appeals most. A winner here over 1m2f in May, he followed up at Doncaster and wasn't disgraced there off this mark last time.
