Dandy Man filly Funky Dory is out of a mare who won over the minimum trip first time out so will be fancied to hit the ground running.

Elle-May Croot got the best out of Relevant Range at Doncaster, but a similar performance may not be enough to fend off THEME PARK. The six-year-old overcame his usual slow start to end a drought on Town Moor last week and he is taken to defy his penalty. A visor replaces blinkers on C&D winner Great Blasket and that, combined with a stable switch, could help to revitalise him.

As her pedigree suggested she would, SUPPLICATE improved for the step up to this distance at Bath and had no problem landing the odds. The runner-up has gone one better since and Roger Varian's filly begins handicap life on a handy rating. Crown Office rises in distance now and he is out of classy 1m4f Group 3 winner Antonia De Vega so is expected to relish it. Bee Farmer, also upped from a mile, and Sassicaia aren't out of it.

MARQUESSOFANGLESEY was only beaten a nose by the now 92-rated King Of Earth at Wolverhampton and even though he wasn't sent off favourite at Ffos Las next time, it was disappointing that he weakened out of things so tamely. However, it may well have been that 10 furlongs stretched him and, if able to bounce back, he would probably take all the beating. Queen's Hame and Matter Of Britain both occupied the runner-up spot on debut and are entitled to improve.

SIXTY PLUS has really turned a corner since being refitted with cheekpieces and going handicapping on the level, following up a facile Thirsk success with an equally-impressive Lingfield triumph. James Owen's gelding is 3lb well-in under his 10lb penalty and is expected to have too much for Simiyann and Beggarman. Best Night is interesting back on the Flat because she showed a real aptitude for it when trained in France.

With precious little in the way of recent winning form, this isn't a race for maximum stakes. MOLLY MAC weakened in the closing stages over 7f at Wolverhampton, but she pipped a subsequent winner for second there over this trip the time before and is selected on that basis. Mereside Spark is gradually working her way into form and has dropped to a mark off which she can strike, although she does have some ground to make up on Muddy Nora from their Redcar meeting.

Poet's Dawn retains plenty of zest and stuck his neck out to prevail at Ripon. Yafaarr maintained his good run of form when second at Redcar and he should be in the thick of the action once more providing his stamina holds out. PALAZZO PERSICO has no such worries having won over 1m4f at Catterick recently, and he also struck over this trip when giving William Pearman his first success under Rules at Chepstow last month. The five-year-old can continue the resurgence shown since joining Tony Carroll's team.
