UK Horse Racing Tips: Cork

The vote goes to the Willie Mullins-trained EMERALD ENIGMA. She looks a nice prospect going over hurdles after two victories from two starts in bumpers and should prove difficult to beat. Fraher Field should give a good account of herself. She was a winner of a bumper in Wexford last season and her run over hurdles in Listowel was a good performance, finishing second to the Henry de Bromhead-trained Salsinha. Easter Bonnet ran well for a long way here before fading and looks the type who can improve.

Trainer Pat Foley is double-handed in this competitive handicap hurdle and the vote goes to GINO BELLA, who was an impressive winner here on her latest start. She has a 7lb rise to deal with but with claimer Alan O'Sullivan taking 5lb off again, she should remain very competitive. The Charles Byrnes-trained Eastmore was a wide-margin winner at Limerick and he will also have a big shout in this contest. Max Meridius was a cosy winner in Ballinrobe and he should figure too.

The John McConnell-trained SYOSSET gets a tentative vote. He has run very well twice over hurdles of late and further improvement should see him competitive in this field. Maxicourt showed a major sign of improvement on his latest start at this venue and with Michael Kenneally on board, he should have a chance. Redcliff Glen could be thereabouts in the finish as well.

TOON TOWN was a good winner over fences at Limerick and he reverts to hurdles on an attractive mark. He can take full advantage at the chief expense of El Regalo, who ran a fine race at this circuit on his latest start and a repeat of that run will have him there at the business end. Uptaurintop took a step in the right direction when put back over timber at Killarney and has an each-way chance.

LIVIO ran well at Killarney but did not back it up at Punchestown, although the vote goes to the Willie Mullins recruit to get back in business. Saporetti has finished third on his last couple of starts and, if Livio is unable to strike, he could be the one to pick up the pieces. An each-way chance is given to the Paul Flynn-trained Master Sydney.

CROWSATEDAPPLETART has been a great servant for connections and may be able to make use of this lower mark now over hurdles. He was a good winner over fences at Wexford when last seen in May and went up to a rating of 123 after that. He runs off a 20lb lower mark back over timber and makes plenty of appeal. O'grady Cracker left his previous form well behind when running out a cosy winner at Kilbeggan and is noted along with Folly Beach.

GREEN STYLE can make a winning start here for Willie Mullins. The Idaho gelding on a point-to-point in March 2025 and ran a nice race to finish sixth in the Goffs Bumper at Punchestown the following month. He has been switched to the champion trainer since and could take a bit of beating here. Echoes Of Jane has been placed in two bumpers and is an obvious danger, while Harry Swan is an eye-catching booking for newcomer Red Shea.
