BOLO NEIGHS is lightly-raced compared to some of these, but what he has shown on his visits to this course marks him out as a confident selection. He caught the eye with an eye-catching performance over today's course and distance last time out, backing up an earlier C&D success from earlier in the season.

Dig a little deeper into that run and the form looks even better than the bare result suggests - he was slow away and had to work hard for everything, finishing sixth of thirteen in the race but first of seven in his group, with a case that the draw did him no favours that day. On that evidence there's more to come, and he rates a reasonably confident choice to build on that C&D form again today.

TIP 2: NIGHT BREEZE - 1pt WIN

NIGHT BREEZE simply doesn't run a bad race at this course, with two wins and a second from three visits, all over today's course and distance. That runner-up effort came behind Mount Atlas, who is rated a good 10lb higher now than he was that day, so the form has plenty of substance to it.

He's 11lb higher than when winning this very race last year, which is worth noting, but he's arrived back in form at just the right time - a tongue tie fitted this spring has coincided with a return to form, winning cosily at Epsom before a solid third at Glorious Goodwood eleven days ago.

He failed to strike on the all-weather over the winter, but with course form this strong and his recent CV pointing the right way, another good showing back at Ascot looks well on the cards. Castle Stuart, unbeaten at the track, is the more popular selection in the market, but Night Breeze's deeper form makes him the value case for the win.

TIP 3: THUNDER CALL - 1pt

THUNDER CALL arrives in seriously progressive form and looks well suited by this test. He followed up a six-length success in maiden company by landing a valuable sprint handicap at York, the kind of step up that plenty of horses fail to handle, and he handled it with authority.

Last time out at Newmarket he was a close-up third, and crucially he races off the same mark again today. Everything about his profile points to a horse who is still ahead of the handicapper, and he looks capable of taking another step forward here.

TIP 4: OZAT - 1pt WIN

Ozat had no luck in running last time out at Goodwood, and it's fair to say patience with this one has been tested. But there's a big performance in the locker, and the booking of Ryan Moore for today adds real confidence to the case.

He has class to spare and a workable mark to land this, running for a yard that's firing on all cylinders at this meeting and clearly targeting the good prize money on offer. Worth another chance with a change of fortune and a top jockey now in the saddle.
