TIP 1: Nuit d’Eclair - 1pt
Best odds of 2/1 at bet365 while publishing.
Graceful Song was an impressive winner of a novice race over this course and distance but it was a poor overall time and preference instead goes to NUIT D’ÉCLAIR (best priced at 2/1) who was slightly unlucky to only finish 4 th in the Princess Margaret Stakes when last seen. The Kevin Philippart De Foy trained filly won on her debut at Newbury in a strong contest where the second Topaz and third Avalon Queen have both won since.
Nuit d’Eclair was hampered late on at Ascot last time when 4 th beaten only a length shaping like this step up in trip to 7f is worth a go. She is top rated in the field with an official rating of 96 and can win this under David Egan.

TIP 2: Sanbona Warrior - 1pt
Best available odds of 9/4 at William Hill while publishing.
Mysterious Times and SANBONA WARRIOR (best priced at 9/4) are closely matched through form with Keep Grafting and the selection gets to make his handicap debut off an 8lb lower mark. The selection ran well on his debut at Kempton before beating Keep Grafting by a head at Doncaster on his next start. That rival went on to finish 3 rd behind Flann Sunna and Mysterious Times when only 1 ½ lengths behind that rival.
William Knight is having a fantastic season with his 2yos on turf with them 6-16 (38% strike rate) and hopefully Sanbona Warrior can continue that trend.
4:40 HaydockSee All Odds
TIP 3: Leadman - 0.5pt EW
Best odds of 16/1 at SpreadEx while publishing.
The market is concentrating on the unexposed three-year-olds but LEADMAN (best priced at 16/1) looks overpriced having caught the eye on his previous runs in defeat. The David O’Meara trained six-year-old won by a nose at Doncaster in June off a mark of 82 before finishing 5 th at Newmarket and 7 th at Ascot off a mark of 84.
On both of those occasions Leadman travelled well into the race but failed to get a clear run in the final furlong, finishing the race with more to give. This step up in trip to a mile is a question mark and the wide draw is a negative but he looks overpriced to hit the frame with up to five places available.
5:23 NewmarketSee All Odds
TIP 4: Prince Quattro - 1pt
Best odds of 5/2 at bet365 while publishing.
This looks a competitive 0-70 handicap but preference goes to PRINCE QUATTRO (best priced at 5/2) who won at this course last time over 2 miles when he beat the reopposing Dereham in the race he had won three times previously. The James Owen trained seven-year-old won by a head that day off a mark of 66 under Mason Paetel and has only been raised 2lbs for that effort.
Prince Quattro has since run well to finish 3 rd at Market Rasen over hurdles and he should relish this return to the flat in an open contest.
