Return To Unit 9/2 (1pt)
RETURN TO UNIT (best priced at 9/2) bounced back from a disappointing effort at Ayr on his reappearance to win at Nottingham last time and he should hold strong claims despite an 8lb rise in the weights. The Roger Varian trained gelding beat the now 87 rated My Fermoy off level weights on his final start last season in a Nottingham maiden so he looked well treated on his handicap debut off an opening mark of 80.
Return To Unit disappointed that day but was an impressive 3 ¾ length winner on his next start when fitted with first-time blinkers. If those have the same effect for a second time then he should hold strong claims of defying his new mark of 88.

Never Just A Dream 16/1 (0.5pt ew)
Terry Kent has his string in fantastic form currently with three winners from his previous six runners (9/2, 7/2 and 9/4) as well as a 7/2 3rd, 22/1 4th and 20/1 5th who were all beaten less than 2 ¼ lengths at the finish. He runs NEVER JUST A DREAM (best priced at 16/1) in this race off a career low mark of 83 having slightly disappointed when last seen over 5f.
Never Just A Dream has won three times in his career and these have all come over 6f off marks of 94, 93 and 84. With his stable in good form, the step up in trip to 6f to suit and the career low mark of 83, he looks overpriced in this contest.
