Jack Jones' gelding should have no issues switching to the all-weather and can use his experience to negate a wide draw. It would come as no surprise were Calendar Boy to improve on his debut effort, while newcomer Huwa Baree makes some appeal.

CAPTIVE BEAUTY went desperately close on her handicap bow at Wolverhampton and with the likelihood of more to come, she can defy a 2lb rise in the handicap to go one place better. 6f course winner Elvetham is worth another crack back up in distance and Ffos Las scorer Lerwick makes plenty of appeal, given that Hope Regan takes 7lb off his back this time.

Chloe Lyons got a good tune out of Magna Grecia filly PURE PASSION when landing a similar event at Yarmouth and she is very much worth keeping onside, especially at this level. The relatively consistent My Mate Mackley has to enter calculations in a race of this nature, whilst Zaltalla, Ridger and C&D runner-up Dr Ali all have claims too.

NESWICK went under the radar when beaten less than a length into third over C&D on her debut, but punters will have taken note of that performance and she gets a confident vote here. Shangri La has proven consistent in her career so far and is expected to be thereabouts again, but so might Dove Tale if a first-time hood can work the oracle after being too keen when third at Kempton.

Each of these remain open to varying levels of improvement, with nursery debutant VIKING BARBIE edging the vote. Although underwhelming on her latest fourth at Beverley, a reproduction of her previous runner-up effort at Sandown could enable a breakthrough victory. Catterick scorer South West is heading in the right direction and Richard Hughes' charge is feared most, ahead of Secret Rival.
