So Tempting 5/2 (1pt)

The Tom Ward trained SO TEMPTING (best priced at 5/2) had run to a similar level on her first three career starts but showed improvement last time when fitted with first-time cheekpieces on her nursery debut. She was only beaten a head that day by Dreams Galore who has since won by two lengths off a 2lb higher mark to boost the form.

So Tempting runs here off only a 1lb higher mark and despite being drawn wider than ideal in Stall 8, she looks the one to beat in this race.

Runninsonofagun 7/2 (1pt)

Classy Clarets is obviously worthy of respect in his bid for a five-timer but preference instead goes to RUNNINSONOFAGUN (best priced at 7/2) who will appreciate the re-application of blinkers. It was slightly disappointing that the Tristan Davidson trained four-year-old was beaten on his penultimate start when sent off 8/15 at Ayr but he was only beaten a neck by Samra Star and that rival has followed up since and is now rated 9lbs higher.

Runninsonofagun finished a good 2nd last time off a mark of 67 without any headgear and he should prove better with blinkers back on. He now races from only 3lbs higher mark than his 2nd behind Samra Star and looks the one to beat despite both Classy Clarets and Carolus Magnus also likely to try to force the pace.
