Henry Callan rode the winner of this race 12 months ago and can taste further success courtesy of DIAMOND BAY. The Tom Ward-trained gelding is getting on a bit and finds victories hard to come by now, but he wasn't beaten far at Newbury last time and has struck over C&D before. Circuit Breaker and Roland Garros are capable of making nuisances of themselves, and Benvoy is interesting with Brodie Hampson booked for his return to the level.

Past Passion didn't disgrace herself in Newbury's Super Sprint and was paying her way with minor money prior to it. She will relish having her sights lowered, but ROMOTOSO gave connections plenty of encouragement on her introduction and can make it second-time lucky. William Knight's filly only gave way in the closing stages at Doncaster so the slight drop in trip will suit. Polly The Sniper didn't do badly on her first appearance, while Musical Force showed improvement second time out.

Foinix let down favourite-backers at Brighton, but rewarded those who kept the faith when beating Fighting Poet over C&D last week. That means he has to give weight all round, though, and PRIDE EYE may be the one to take advantage. The daughter of Expert Eye has been holding her own in handicap company and now goes up to a mile and a half for the first time as she drops into a classified event. More is expected from Snooker McCrew and Star Suepreme too.

It's hard to get away from MY OLD MATE, who successfully completed a double by four lengths over this trip at Windsor recently and looks well placed to go in again, despite the 6lb penalty. Henfield won a classified stakes over track and trip last month and is respected now back in handicap company, while Perfect Ruler makes just her first start for the Marco Botti yard and may also have a say.

Of the remainder, Raqraaq makes the most appeal.

No News filled the runner-up spot off a mark of 46 at Wolverhampton two starts ago and is a player based on that performance. Chloe's Courage looks best of the rest.

The hat-trick seeking Happier is bound to have his supporters after her success over 5f at Ffos Las six days ago, but she might be worth taking on with DUE DATE. Charlie Wallis' gelding finished two lengths clear of the third when second over this distance at Leicester last month and a similar performance might be good enough. Three-time course winner Diamond Dreamer competes off an attractive mark and isn't ruled out either.

Walking On Clouds made it two wins from his last three outings at Wolverhampton last month and holds an obvious chance in his current form, but the vote goes to CHASING GOLD. Michael Keady's charge hit the woodwork over this trip at Yarmouth on his most recent start and as long as he transfers that form to the all-weather, the four-year-old will prove hard to beat. Twilight Madness is another to keep an eye on.
