UK Horse Racing Tips: Killarney

FINE LINE has been well held on each of her runs thus far but hinted at promise at Sligo when staying on well over 6f and should benefit from going up in distance. Belicoso has gradually stepped up in trip and is likely to be suited by a mile. Maggie Walker won a soft ground maiden in May and while well held at Group 2 level subsequently, is expected to be competitive from her mark.

MANTON BAY might ideally prefer another furlong but has solid handicap form. An all-weather winner at Dundalk last November, the son of Ulysses has run consistently well in each of his four handicap runs, having met traffic when well held at the Curragh in June, and runs off the same mark as his second at Leopardstown last month. Iamimmaculate also drops slightly in distance having run well at the Galway Festival and is of interest wearing a first-time tongue-tie. Mayflower was unable to land a blow at Galway but her rating has slipped and she had previously shown form at a higher level.

CAROLINA JETSTREAM has kept good company recently and can take advantage of her sights being lowered. All of her four wins have come on the all-weather and thus any softening of the ground would be a concern, but she finished a solid runner-up at Group 2 level at the Curragh on good ground in May. She wasn't beat far at Royal Ascot in June and now drops markedly in grade following her Pretty Polly run. Jagged Edge and Hardy Warrior, who runs in a first-time tongue-tie, are closed matched on slightly revised terms following their Galway meeting, while a mile will stretch East Hampton's stamina.

CASAMORATI showed improved form to finish second at the recent Galway Festival and remains somewhat unexposed on his third start in handicap company. Glitter And Glory, Chirac and Golddream finished third, fourth and fifth respectively in a C&D which the selection took part in and each of them have obvious claims, while Chapel Lane took a step in the right direction at Leopardstown.

LUKER'S TIPPLE has found form over jumps in recent weeks and remains a little unexposed in this sphere. Although he had been frustrating prior to scoring for the first time in July, he had shown form on the Flat previously and ran well in a Bellewstown maiden in April. He now steps up in trip and is ideally suited by good ground. Sir Jeremy himself steps up to this staying distance for the first time following a success at Galway, while Taipan completes the shortlist after a near-miss at the same venue.

It isn't ideal that LADY PLIMSOLL makes a quick reappearance having raced on Tuesday but she was a useful second at Roscommon and competes from the same rating, minus her rider's 4lb claim. She finished third behind an easy winner at the Galway Festival, and was also behind Espritroyale then, but is better off at the weights with the runner-up and is suited by this staying distance. That Galway race was Espritroyale's first attempt at 1m6f and she should continue to progress. Fellow three-year-old Celestially finished second over C&D last month, while Chicago Moon struck here a couple of days prior and steps up in trip, with a 7lb claimer now on board.

MURAT has won four of eight career starts and can follow up last month's victory. Successful in a bumper on debut here in 2024, the seven-year-old is lightly raced and a reproduction of his Leopardstown win would see him involved again. Group 3-placed Samui was a wide-margin winner here a couple of years ago but although a smart performer on fast ground, he hasn't raced for 405 days so might improve for this run. Ragmans Corner finished fourth in the Galway Hurdle, but has a bit to find on Flat ratings. Glowing Account has had numerous training issues, both before and after his impressive Listowel bumper success back in 2023, and should improve from his Galway reappearance.
