Amiloc's sixth in the Hardwicke would give him an obvious chance if seeing out the distance.

Adaay Of Scarlett brings arguably a stronger level of form with runner-up efforts in the Coventry, July Stakes and the Richmond. That said, he may prove vulnerable to less-exposed types, despite wearing first-time cheekpieces. Marco Polo has to warrant respect after his debut second at the Curragh, while Norfolk third Mussab should benefit from going back up in trip.

The booking of Jamie Spencer to ride Zanndabad by Tony Martin catches the eye and any market move could prove interesting, but EXPLODE appears the better value. Looking for his hat-trick after wins at Catterick and Newbury, the latest by nearly five lengths, he has a 5lb penalty to carry here but it wouldn't be a surprise if he had more to come.

Beaten a length when odds-on over a mile at Killarney, that form looks stronger with the benefit of hindsight given the winner has subsequently finished second in Listed company. Speyside placed in a competitive Goodwood maiden on debut and has to be of interest, while Launch Sequence finished a creditable third at the same track and this extra yardage should suit. Lancaster Tower and the newcomer My Remas also warrant respect.

The latter returned the impressive winner on only her second start handicapping and the Haggas filly may well defy a hike in the weights with further progress looking assured. Windsor winner Dream Camp is another on the upgrade with plenty of scope for improvement, while Plaid and Food For Thought are others to consider.
