The son of Mehmas should be bang there at the business end with normal progress and is taken to get off the mark. Ripon second Green Bay Dream failed to show the anticipated improvement back at the same track a week ago, although this looks less competitive. Orfilia and Seadreamin are newcomers to note.

Poet's Dawn drops back in trip with a shout, but MR KING arrives in fine fettle and gets the vote. Having found only one rival too strong on his handicap bow over a mile here, a return to 1m2f could prove just the ticket for POPPEYE. The four-year-old was doing his best work in the closing stages and is fancied to overcome a 2lb nudge up the ratings. Salisbury third Mighty Quiet is racing off her last winning mark and is feared most, ahead of Fille Imbassee.

Yafaarr is capable of going close judged on the pick of his efforts this summer, but his latest fourth at Nottingham leaves him with something to prove. It may pay to side with those at the foot of the weights in Whiskey Pete and CEINTURE D'ORION. Although the former posted a good second at Doncaster at the start of this month, David O'Meara's three-year-old is unexposed and a repeat of her latest third at Ayr may suffice.

Although he was unable to follow up his Ayr victory at the same venue, MR COOL only weakened into third towards the finish. The four-year-old looks more than capable of scoring off an unchanged mark and a fourth career victory may beckon. Ingleby Archie arrives on the back of a solid fifth at York and could prove a live threat if dictating the pace, while reopposing 10th Spirit Of Applause shouldn't be far away judged on his subsequent close-up second at Pontefract.

FARANDAWAY has raced prominently over further before being caught when second at Doncaster and then sixth at Haydock but if he has the pace to get to the lead over this shorter trip, he could prove difficult to catch. Marajito is the only previous course winner in the line-up having scored here in June 2025 over 5f off the same mark, although she is yet to prove she gets the sixth furlong. Come On Over could be the best of the three-year-olds.

Hurstwood won a division of this in 2024 and he gets to race off 8lb lower, although the nine-year-old is yet to peak in 2026. Mrs Trump won the other division the same year and she is also potentially well handicapped, despite some acceptable efforts, but SOUTH SHORE ISLAND is preferred. Only beaten a neck over C&D off 1lb lower last month, he gets on well with claiming jockey Molly Keegan-Price and could be the one to beat.
