Steps In The Sand is already a dual-winner in this sphere and has to be noted. Hatfield Hammer has been running well in similar races.

A four-time career winner, the selection continues to progress and should not be be underestimated. Liam Swagger has done most of his racing on the Flat but has won two of four previous hurdle runs and ran nicely at Galway. Cheltenham Festival winner Final Orders completes the shortlist.

FASTNET CRYSTAL ran well at Galway last month and looks capable of striking again. That form looks solid and she sets the standard with mark of 121. Easter Bonnet has a rating of 118 after her impressive success at Cork earlier this month. She showed significant improvement that day and is an obvious danger here. Ardeen Joy made little impression in handicap company at Galway last time but should be able to play a bigger part now.

DIRECT APPROACH looks capable of being a big player in this company off a mark of 100 on his handicap debut. The No Nay Never gelding has run solid races in maiden hurdles this summer, particularly when third at Kilbeggan on his penultimate outing. Convincing arrives here in winning form, having scored at Kilbeggan earlier in the month, and he should be competitive again despite a 6lb rise. Masego has been consistent on the Flat this summer and is another to note on his return to jumping.

SYOSSET has been knocking on the door and may be able to make the breakthrough here. The Crystal Ocean gelding has been placed on his last four outings and ran another solid race when third at Kilbeggan last time. He remains on the same mark of 92 and is tried in cheekpieces now. Tropical Twist won on her penultimate start but disappointed last time at Downpatrick. She was reported to have a bit of swelling on her knee then and she'd be a big player if that run can be forgiven. Cinnabar Moth didn't run too badly when fourth at Tramore last time and could be place material.

BLUE TRIX may be good enough to make a winning debut for Willie Mullins. The Blue Bresil mare is a half-sister to three-time winner Beggars Rock and is sure to know her job first time up. Myluckymaker has been runner-up on her last two outings and is an obvious contender. She chased home another Mullins-trained mare in Village Dream at Tramore ten days ago and that's probably the pick of the form on view. Ifuknowuknow showed some promise in a couple of bumpers last season and may be able to play a bigger role on his return.
