True Charm has to be of some interest after finishing second on debut and then putting a lacklustre Nottingham effort behind courtesy of a four-length fifth last time out at Chester, and he could go close off bottom weight dropping to five furlongs. ROTELLE is down in grade having finished second in a better race at Haydock off the same mark, and he could be the one in first-time cheekpieces, while Innichen looks to bounce back after a poor effort at York.

Good Earth has won twice over C&D, both off higher marks, but he hasn't been at his best recently, finishing sixth at Beverley and beaten over four lengths last time. SOUTH SHORE reappears quickly after finishing second at Brighton on Monday and is due to go up 3lb, so is well respected with a decent draw in stall two. Jenny Jerome may hit a place with a clear run.

Many of these have shown plenty of promise, including Epsom third Palace Legacy, C&D second Thunder Home and Newmarket third Netherstream. All three are open to improvement, but a chance is taken on ALGAIHABANE. She finished a close second over C&D in July and holds solid claims on that form, but the progressive DRYMEE is taken to edge a competitive affair. The dual winner wasn't beaten far in a tougher handicap at Newmarket last time and, off an unchanged mark with Billy Loughnane taking over the reins, he looks the one to side with. Tamzan and the unexposed Dovecote are not without a shout either.

BOX CLEVER relished the uphill finish when scoring in convincing fashion at Salisbury a week ago. The daughter of Zoustar should be at home at this stiff track on that evidence and Jonathan Portman's filly is taken to defy a penalty. Marco Botti's yard remains in fine fettle and Perfect Ruler will likely have more to offer after opening her account with a victory at Lingfield. She makes more appeal than the handicap debutants Kino Plasmat and Poets Praise.

GALYX is taken to make the most of this easier assignment. His fourth over C&D in June has worked out well, having finished a place in front of a subsequent dual winner, and Jack Channon's charge has been lowered 3lb since. Sovereign View won over a mile last year and could feature if seeing out this extra yardage, while both Sharp Move and Moon Angel should be monitored in the betting.
