Mr Caulfield took a step forward when runner-up at Sligo last time. He has plenty in hand with third-placed Fox Walk and should confirm superiority over this shorter distance, but EURO AGENT makes more appeal. Gordon Elliott's charge failed to threaten the winner when finishing second over these hurdles in June, but still finished clear of a subsequent winner. That improved effort offers plenty of encouragement for the future and the five-year-old gets the nod.
Prediction : 1st Euro Agent 2nd Mr Caulfield 3rd Fox Walk

He Who Dares been thereabouts in a couple of outings on the level since scoring over timber at Wexford in July. However, he's been raised 9lb for that success and MENAS MIRACLE is preferred. The latter can race off a 7lb lower mark than when successful in a chase at Tramore in May and is taken to make a successful return to hurdling. Last year's winner Pahlavi could bounce back as Shark Hanlon bids to win this for the third time in succession.
Prediction : 1st Menas Miracle 2nd He Who Dares 3rd Pahlavi

Coded Welder reverts to hurdling with a shout on his second at Cork back in May. Ritz Plan could also get involved on these terms if back on song, but MAJESTIC HORIZON may prove the one to side with. The point-to-point winner finished a creditable third over 2m2f here on only his second start over timber and this extra test of stamina looks sure to play to his strengths.
Prediction : 1st Majestic Horizon 2nd Coded Welder 3rd Ritz Plan

COZONE won over C&D in March and showed further progress when successful over a shorter trip back here in June. He beat a subsequent winner by over four lengths on that occasion so an 8lb rise doesn't look insurmountable and he's taken to go in again. Bruant looks dangerous off his current mark on the back of a solid second at Sligo. He's preferred to Ballinrobe winner Down Around and the maiden winner Seven Towers.
Prediction : 1st Cozone 2nd Bruant 3rd Down Around

KILLEEMORE LAD has found one too good the last twice, most recently over an extended 1m7f at Tramore earlier in the month, and he could improve for this step up in trip. The eight-year-old makes just his fourth start over fences and should have more to offer. Jabbar occupied the runner-up berth over the smaller obstacles at Wexford and has to be taken seriously on his chasing bow, while Herja is another to keep a close eye on.
Prediction : 1st Killeemore Lad 2nd Jabbar 3rd Herja

The Cobblers Wife made her first start for the Tony Mullins yard a winning one at Tramore and holds every chance of following up on her chasing bow. However, FULL NOISE finished third over an extended 2m5f at Roscommon and this drop back in trip looks the right move. With a previous C&D success to his name, he looks the one to side with. Gorthill completes the shortlist.
Prediction : 1st Full Noise 2nd The Cobblers Wife 3rd Gorthill

It's hard to get away from RIGHTFOLKSPLEASE, who successfully completed a double when switched back to hurdles at Tramore and that made it two wins from three starts since moving to the Declan Queally stable. Considering the manner of that victory, he could continue his progression to go in again. Beggars Rock won by just over four lengths at Wexford and should mount a bold bid. Of the remainder, Presenting Lad makes the most appeal.
Prediction : 1st Rightfolksplease 2nd Beggars Rock 3rd Presenting Lad
