He failed to trouble the impressive winner, but showed plenty of promise in finishing second and Hugo Palmer's colt looks one to keep on the right side of. Lingfield fourth Xochipilli is likely to prove competitive with Billy Loughnane in the plate, while Hidden Beyond got better the further she went on her debut over C&D and should be a lot wiser.

Charlie Johnston's charge found plenty for pressure in the closing stages to win a shade cosily in the end and is taken to defy a penalty, with this extra yardage expected to suit. Celtic Storm is another likely to benefit from this longer trip having stayed on well for fifth over 7f here on his introduction, while Wolverhampton runner-up Peaberry could also be in the mix.

GILDING THE LILY failed to get a clean break when upped to a mile at Newmarket last time. However, she soon recovered and asserted her authority in the final furlong to come out on top. The Gosdens' filly won't be inconvenienced by this return to the all-weather and the daughter of Blue Point can go in again. River Nile took a step forward when third over 7f here and could prove a bigger threat than Star Mirage and Moontune.

Go Rimbaud was only beaten a head in a better race at Newmarket and has been upped 2lb. The application of first-time blinkers should see him on the scene once more, although giving 10lb to WUOOD could be a big ask. Richard Hannon's Night Of Thunder colt makes his handicap debut after winning a Doncaster novice by three lengths and a mark of 77 may underestimate his potential. Starlight Time also goes on the shortlist with the Varian yard in excellent form.

With a distinct lack of recent winning form on offer, Gilet has to enter calculations, despite his long absence. Last seen finishing third here over the mile in January, this trip could be ideal. Yankee Dude struggled at Thirsk, but might hit the places back on the all-weather.

Mission Command made the most of a drop into claiming company when scoring at Wolverhampton and a retained visor should enable another bold bid. However, a return to handicap company demands more of the four-year-old and preference is for PETER THE WOLF. Warren Greatrex's gelding is 1lb lower than for his latest third over 7f here and a drop back in distance shouldn't hamper his chance. Rage Of Thunder is the pick of the remainder.

Although a drop back in trip looked to be against Educator, he managed to scrape home over 1m4f at Newmarket. The hat-trick seeker merits respect off just 1lb higher, but DIGGER ONE is open to more improvement. The five-year-old defied market expectations when proving a ready winner on his handicap bow at Salisbury and there should be more to come. Fellow last-time-out winners Division Day and Urban Warrior are others of interest.
