Zeus Olympios (last year) and Triple Time (2022) were the last two three-year-olds to win the Superior Mile with both carrying the colours of Sheikh Mohammed Obaid. Karl Burke has trained the winner of this race for the past two seasons with Zeus Olympios and Holloway Boy in 2024 and this year HANKELOW (best priced at 6/1) represents the trainer as a three-year-old in those silks.

The son of Night Of Thunder won the Group 3 Autumn Stakes on his final start last season before finishing a close 3 rd in the French 2000 Guineas on his reappearance.

Hankelow has disappointed on his previous two starts but in my opinion hasn’t stayed the extra distance and he should now be well suited by this drop back down to a mile on softer ground. A rating of 113 with a 5lb allowance makes him the one to beat on the figures.

TIP 2: TWO TEMPTING - 0.5pt EW

This looks a competitive renewal of the London Series Final but preference goes to TWO TEMPTING
(best priced at 10/1) who should relish this return to the AW. The Jonny Portman trained seven- year-old ended last season with form figures of 213233 on the AW including a victory over this course and distance off a mark of 96.

Two Tempting was 4 th beaten only 2 ¾ lengths last time at Chester off a mark of 99 so he remains well handicapped off a mark of 98. He is well drawn in Stall 6 and should run well under regular rider Rob Hornby.

TIP 3: RHOSCOLYN - 1pt Win

The David O’Meara trained RHOSCOLYN (best priced at 7/2) has been kept busy recently since the recent downfall of rain but he actually runs here 2lbs lower than his 2 nd place at Epsom on Monday. The eight-year-old won his novice race over this course and distance previously but has also run well in defeat including when only beaten 1 ½ lengths off a mark of 98 in the past.

Rhoscolyn has now dropped down to a mark of 82 for the first time since May 2021 despite finishing 2 nd beaten only 1 ¾ lengths off a mark of 84 on Monday. He should relish this ground and looks the one to beat with Danny Tudhope back on board.
