The O'Neills' six-year-old stayed on well to win at Worcester in June, despite some sketchy jumping, and he is more than capable of further progression.

Racing off 2lb higher, this looks a decent opportunity for him to go one better. Western Soldier is better than the bare form figures imply and appeals most of the remainder.

Gone In Sixty is a feasible alternative with Sean Bowen booked to ride.

Sam Drinkwater's mare arrives on the back of a solid third at Market Rasen and a similar performance may see her capitalising. Leave Her To Me lurks on a dangerous mark and is a potential fly in the ointment on the back of a wind procedure, while Mistral Blue got the better of the selection at Uttoxeter in mid-June but does need to shake off two lesser efforts since.
