Dragon Of Malta 11/4 (1pt)
DRAGON OF MALTA (best priced at 11/4) won twice in successive days at the Listowel festival last season and he should hold strong claims of repeating that feat this year. The Pat O’Donnell trained nine-year-old was a less dominant and slightly fortunate winner yesterday and will need to defy a 7lb penalty today but he proved last season that he can run to a higher level the day after.
Dragon Of Malta won this race by five lengths last year and although he will encounter faster ground and be off a 7lb higher mark this year, he still appears the most likely winner.

Glenfinnan 5/2 (1pt)
It is frustrating to see GLENFINNAN (best priced at 5/2) so well backed overnight for this race but he still looks the one to beat. The Michael Dods trained six-year-old has a superb record at Beverley in his career with form figures of 121 including when winning on his penultimate start off a mark of 78.
Glenfinnan can be excused his latest run at Ascot in a Class 2 Handicap and will no doubt appreciate this drop down in grade to this Class 4 0-80 handicap. He looks the one to beat off top weight.
