Fresh off a 3/1 winner, Steve Ryder shares three betting angles for Sunday's racing cards at Goodwood.

TIP 1: BRYNMAIR GOLD - 1pt
Best odds of 11/8 at bet365 while publishing.
All five previous winners of this race were favourites and BRYNMAIR GOLD (best priced at 11/8) looks to hold strong claims of extending that winning run for the most fancied runners. Trainer Oliver Cole won this race in 2023 and this colt caught the eye when runner-up on his debut at Kempton 11 days ago when only beaten a neck by a more experienced winner.
Brynmair Gold was slowly away that day, ran green in the early stages but stayed on strongly to finish 2 nd with a FSP of 103%. His main rivals are War Chest and Cornichon who finished 2 nd and 4 th respectively but I would surprised if Brynmair Gold didn’t get off the mark at the second attempt
with Oisin Murphy retaining the ride.

TIP 2: ROYAL ACCLAMATION - 1pt
Best odds of 4/5 at William Hill while publishing.
Donegan looks likely to struggle to concede 4lbs to two talented colts in the shape of Iron Curtain and ROYAL ACCLAMATION (best priced at 4/5) with preference going to the latter whose stable are still operating at a 38% strike rate (33/85) with their two-year-olds this season. Charlie Appleby has won this race twice since 2021 and this Godolphin homebred sets the standard with an official rating of 88. He is the most experienced in the field with three starts and has placed on all of those runs.
Royal Acclamation has shown improved form on his previous two starts on turf with a runner-up effort behind subsequent Royal Lodge Stakes third Quicken Away here on soft ground a month ago before finishing 2 nd last time at Haydock despite a tardy start and Toby Moore dropping his reins briefly late on. Billy Loughnane now takes over on board for the first time and he looks the one to beat with this step up in trip to 1m1f sure to suit based on his breeding.

TIP 3: WISPER - 0.5pt EW
Best odds of 10/1 at bet365 while publishing.
This field is dominated by unexposed three-year-olds but I feel that the topweight WISPER (best priced at 10/1) looks overpriced based on her closely matched form with Room Fourteen. The Alan King trained eight-year-old made a winning reappearance at Windsor in May and has run well since including here when 4 th behind Silver Lake at Glorious Goodwood which is the same race as she has finished 5 th and 4 th the previous two years when beaten less than 1 ½ lengths at the finish.
The form of that race looks good with the winner Silver Lake winning her next two starts (now rated 22lb higher) and the 2 nd finishing 2 nd in a listed race in France since. Wisper was 3 rd last time at Chester when beaten 2 lengths off this mark of 87 but crucially now drops back to Class 4 company for the first time since her win at Windsor which came off only a 1lb higher mark.
