BLUE PETE makes plenty of appeal on his nursery debut. Mick Appleby's colt has started to get the hang of things with each run and the evidence of his last couple of outings suggests an opening mark of 75 is workable. Californian Angel has hit the frame on her most recent efforts and has to enter the reckoning along with Invincible Isaac.

Intervention proved he retains plenty of enthusiasm, especially on the all-weather, when getting up over 6f at Wolverhampton. The additional furlong isn't a problem, but the presence of DARK MANDATE in the line-up might be. Eve Johnson Houghton's three-year-old has been in excellent form this autumn and lost little in defeat when attempting to supplement a Wolverhampton win at Kempton. Shades Of May has been in fine fettle at Southwell and likes it here too. Orange Emperor is interesting on his debut for Marco Botti.

MAESTRO DEL MAR has been beaten a fair way in novice events at Southwell and Epsom, but his only previous foray into handicap company resulted in a narrow Kempton defeat at the hands of a rival who has progressed well in both codes since. A recent gelding operation may help get the best out of him. Kokoluna's good run of form came to an end at Nottingham, although she can't be written off on the back of one moderate effort. Hamdania should be able to do better now back on the all-weather.
